Support-Based Roles of Various Titles in Various Industries
The roles I’m going to be sharing in this video are all support-based roles of various titles in various industries. On the low end, the pay is $19 per hour all the way up to over $55 per hour. And as far as the industries, we’re talking fintech, digital health, and a B2B software program. Let’s go ahead and jump into it.
Welcome Back to Homebase Haven
Welcome back to Homebase Haven, your safe haven for real work-from-home jobs. Thank you for joining me. Welcome to those of you that are new. The first company we’re going to look at is Snapdocs, and they are in the fintech space, and their platform in a nutshell helps to automate the closing process, and they’re looking for a Customer Support Specialist, and it says, “As the Customer Support Specialist, you’ll be the frontline partner, of course, for their customers and own issues from the first point of contact.”
A Little Quick Overview of What You’ll Be Doing
So, to give you a little quick overview of what you’ll be doing again, you’ll be that first point of contact for inbound phone support and documenting clear, thorough call notes. You’re going to provide live chat support as well. Submit and support manual orders, troubleshoot any customer issues, things of that nature. As far as the coverage, let’s go over what the schedule will look like. I like when companies give you that upfront so you know what to expect.
This Role Provides Weekend Coverage
This position offers weekend coverage and follows a steady weekly schedule. So the days that you’ll be working are Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. So, a very alternative shift here. It’s not very typical. So make sure you pay attention to that before you take the time to apply.
The Shift Times
Mountain time. And then Saturday and Sunday, it’s 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Pacific time, and 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Mountain time. Onboarding schedule for the first three weeks, about 3 weeks. Onboarding will take place as standard Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Mountain time.
What They’re Looking For
What they’re looking for? So, the minimum requirements are a high school diploma, one to two years of customer service experience, supporting customers over the phone and email, strong written, verbal communication skills, and ability to learn and navigate new systems and tools, which, of course, you need for any role, and skills and attributes. You must be empathetic, patient, detail-oriented, curious, coachable, all the things that you truly need to join any team, no matter the industry, really no matter the role.
Nice to Haves but Not Required
Nice to haves but not required are prior remote work experience and experience, of course, in their industry of mortgage, real estate, or fintech environments. And the pay for this role is based on where you live. While the times they provided are specific and Mountain time, you do not have to live in those areas from what they specify here. But of course, you make sure you can work those hours and that you can make that accommodation for your schedule.
The Pay Is Broken Down by Zone
So the pay is broken down by zone. If you live in the Bay Area, Seattle, New York, $26.50 per hour, and everywhere else in the US is $23.50 per hour. In addition to hourly pay, this position includes equity and a comprehensive benefits package. Okay, so that’s just a little bit about Snapdocs. Again, that role is Customer Support Specialist.
A Great Fintech Entry-Level Role
This is a great fintech entry-level role. If you have a couple years of customer service experience, but you don’t have fintech or banking or financial-specific experience, but you want to tap into that industry, this is the type of role you want to look for.
Please Make Sure You’re on My Email List
All right, and a quick note, welcome to those of you that are new again. Please make sure you’re on my email list. My email subscribers are the first ones to get these leads before I share them on YouTube. And please like this video, share it with someone else that could use the information, and make sure you’re subscribed to the channel as well.
Transparent in the Digital Health Space
Okay, the next company we’re going to look at is Transparent, and they are in the digital health space. They’re pretty much your all-in-one care healthcare navigation platform, and they’re looking for an Intake Coordinator. The Intake Coordinator reports to the Intake Team Supervisor and is responsible for providing world-class support to members seeking surgical care and other benefit offerings.
A Little Quick Snapshot
So, what you’ll be doing, a little quick snapshot. I won’t go through all of these. You’re going to be accountable for engaging, educating, and qualifying new and existing members on our surgery care program offering and ensuring all benefits are clearly articulated and understood. Convert leads into users of the care experiences. Essentially, you’re going to be educating on the benefits of the program, on the services they provide, things of that nature.
Provide Exceptional Customer Service
Provide exceptional customer service through inbound and inbound calls and their fast-paced contact center. Offer member guidance, ask probing questions to get to the bottom of patient needs, things of that nature. And the schedule that they outline is being able to work Monday through Friday from 12:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Central time, and they break it down in Pacific time, or, excuse me, Pacific time and Mountain time as well, and be able to adjust your shift and scheduling based on the needs of the organization, and you may or will work evening/overnight shifts on a rotating schedule.
Strong Ability to Influence
So again, they give you these alternative shift details prior to, so make sure that it’s something that could work for you before you take the time to do the application. What they’re looking for is one year of experience in a customer service role, verifiable, strong ability to influence.Promoting Services and Encouraging Platform Use
Strong Analytical Thinking Skills
You have a delightful customer attitude. Strong administrative and technical skills to be comfortable navigating a computer and different software programs, the basic ones that you could think of. So, think Microsoft Outlook, or, Google, off, excuse me, Microsoft Office, rather, and Google Suite.
CRM Tools Like Salesforce
CRM tools like Salesforce. So, those tools for, um, managing and documenting your conversations with clients and your video-type communication tools like Zoom, and then Slack with communication and telephones, all that you need to be able to use efficiently and effectively. Strong customer service skills, excellent communication skills like we talked about. You must be trustworthy and accountable, which I would think is for any role.
A Designated Distraction-Free Home Office
Ability to build long-lasting relationships, have a team-oriented behavior, have a competitive drive and entrepreneurial spirit, and a designated distraction-free home office. And the pay for this is $23 per hour. Okay. Again, the company is Transparent in the digital health space.
A Health Insurance Program Made for Real Life
And the next company we’re going to look at is Oscar Health. And Oscar, they have a health insurance program made for real life. Says, “We’re not just a health insurance company. We’re your healthcare partner. Our affordable plans make it easy to get high-quality care on your terms,” and they’re looking for a Care Navigation Guide. It says, “We’re hiring a Care Navigation Guide to join our Care Navigation team.” Of course, and they’re the first health insurance company built around a full-stack technology platform and a relentless focus on serving our members.
This Is a Remote Role
So, this is a remote role. Now, it says you have to reside in specific areas. I still want to include this role because I know so many of you are interested in digital health and health tech. So, I want to share ones that seem like good companies that are growing and up-and-coming, especially when they have entry-level-friendly roles like this one.
Arizona, Florida, Georgia, or Texas
So, unfortunately, it is limited to those residing in Arizona, Florida, Georgia, or Texas. I have to point that out, but again, I wanted to share this for those that this could benefit. The pay for this is $19 per hour, and your responsibilities. You’re going to make outreach to providers to thank the healthcare providers. So, your doctors, your NPs, your PAs, and facilities in an effort to provide relevant, refined, and impactful personalized options that address the member-specific care requests.
Lean on and Collaborate with RNs
Lean on and collaborate with RNs for support on complex cases, discover and communicate trends, effectively utilize the resources, things of that nature. And like I mentioned, being very entry-level friendly. You only need one year of experience with care coordination and navigation in a healthcare setting. One year of experience utilizing a Chromebook and Google Workspace.
Okay, Bonus Points
I would say if you know how to operate a laptop, you can, you can navigate a Chromebook. Okay, bonus points. Experience working in a collaborative environment, which, if you have any work experience, then count that for your bonus points. All right, so that’s a quick one there from Oscar Health.
The Most Entry-Level-Friendly Roles
And you could also browse their other jobs that are available. I just try to pull out sometimes the most entry-level-friendly roles to kind of accommodate those that are trying to tap into the tech space that don’t have a lot of tech background experience or any at all.
Last but Not Least, People Data Labs
And last but not least, we’re going to look at People Data Labs. And this platform, their platform essentially, one that businesses can use to, just as the name states, aggregate data on users, on potential customers to help businesses with their marketing and their sales and things of that nature, and they’re looking for a Customer Support Specialist. People Data Labs is a provider of people and company data. “We do the heavy lifting of data collection and standardization, so our customers can focus on building and scaling innovative, compliant data solutions.”
The First of Its Kind at People Data Labs
Now, in this role, this role is the first of its kind at People Data Labs. An ideal candidate will be comfortable building the plane while they’re flying it, so to speak. So, since you’re the, you would be the first in this role, you kind of get to help establish the standards and the ways of operating, the processes and SOPs for this type of role at that company.
Not for Someone with Only General IT Support Experience
This role is also not for, not for someone with only general IT support experience. So, demonstrable customer-facing experience supporting a data product, a technical product, or one with a significant API component will be key for any candidate to be successful from day one. When we get to the salary, you’re going to understand why they want that real technical experience.
That First Line of Support
So, those of you that understand SQL or have worked as a data analyst of any kind, things of that nature, this is more tailored to you and those that are more technical in nature. You’re going to be that first line of support for customer issues and questions, escalating to our solution engineers. And you’re going to own our customer support tools, documents, and processes.
Automation and AI
Like I mentioned, finding ways to make your and your teammates’ jobs easier with automation and AI. That is a key part of why so many companies are integrating AI into everything. Now, it seems like it’s unavoidable at this point, whether we like it or not.
That’s Just the Reality of It
If you’re going to work for someone else, likely you are going to have to understand how to utilize specific AI tools to make your workflow more efficient, because they’re going to increase those quality standards and metrics that you have to meet, because they’re going to expect you to utilize AI to get more work accomplished. Okay, that’s just the way it is.
Roles and Responsibilities
Roles and responsibilities: provide end-to-end support for PDL, that’s People Data Labs, self-service customers. Again, you’re that first line of triage. You’re going to own Zendesk instance and help us find new, innovative ways to provide, uh, faster support, provide feedback to the team, things of that nature.
Required Skills and Experience
Necessary skills and background: two to three years of customer-facing technical support experience, working knowledge of SQL, experience handling most daily work in Zendesk, preference for speed, and just being able to work in a fast-paced setting.
And it says this role has the potential to expand over time as you become more experienced supporting customers using data.
The Best Part Here Is the Salary
The best part here is the salary. It’s $120K to $130K per year. Let’s take a pause. That’s for a remote Customer Support Specialist role, which, typically, you very, very rarely will see that job title with this kind of salary. So, if you have technical aptitude, if you have experience with the tools that they’ve mentioned, please consider this to help you, um, boost yourself in your career if you’re not already at or above this salary range.
The Benefits for Their Employees
The benefits for their, um, employees include stock options, competitive salaries, as we could tell, unlimited pay time off, your health coverage, your health, fitness, and office stipends, so money to benefit you at the office, so to speak, and as well as in your personal life, and the permanent ability to work wherever and however you want.
Compensating Very Well for This Role
So, while they’re asking, um, for specific things upfront, they are compensating very well for this role. And plus, you’re going to get great experience to say that you helped establish a whole role at a tech company. So, a lot of great benefits to applying for this. If you qualify and you have those technical, that technical background, that technical aptitude, please consider this role to get yourself a nice six-figure remote position.
